Article Databases

  • ABI/INFORM - now Business Scholarly & Trade (ProQuest)
    Key source for business articles.
Subjects: Business, Communications, Economics, Ed Leadership, Health Admin, Hotel Restaurant Mgmt, Management, Public Admin, Technology
Info type: scholarly articles, professional articles, magazine articles, news, reports, dissertations
Brief Instruction Video: Using ProQuest PowerSearch
  • Conference Board - Business Knowledge Research
Overviews of some "hot" business topics.
These reports can be a good starting point for research.
However, this is a small database, so it won't include all topics.
Tip: Browsing topics usually works best.
  • Google Scholar
Search for scholarly materials such as scholarly articles, books, research reports, theses, working papers, and cited sources.
Tip: When using it in Google Scholar, EMU Findtext+ does not come up in a new window.

  • ComAbstacts - CIOS
Sometimes useful for Business Communication or HR courses, comAbstracts indexes articles and books in the communication field.
  • PsycINFO
Key database for Psychology articles. Useful for further research on organizational behavior.
