Laboratory Methods & Protocols

There are two ways to search for methods and protocols in Biological Abstracts. They yield different results so try them both. 

Method 1: 

1. Visit Biological Abstracts from the library Databases list. 
2. Enter your topic on the first search line. Tip: Keep it general. 
3. Add a search bar using the + Add Row link. Select "Literature type" from the dropdown menu. Remove "All literature types" if it appears in the text field. Type Protocol in the text field and select it from the options that appear. 
   
   

Method 2: 

1. Visit Biological Abstracts from the library Databases list. 
2. Enter your topic on the first search line. Tip: Keep it general. 
3. Add a search bar using the + Add Row link. Select "Major Concepts" from the dropdown menu. Click "Select Major Concepts" and add "Methods and techniques." Click "OK."
