On January 1, 2002, this journal was renamed The European Journal of Health Economics.

Highlights the confluence of economics, politics and legal considerations in the health policy process. Serves as a forum for scholarship on health policy issues, and is of use to academics, policy makers and health care managers & professionals. It is international in scope, and publishes theoretical & applied work and articles on all aspects of health policy. Emphasis is on rigorous conceptual development and analysis, and on presentation of empirical evidence relevant to the policy process.

Ceased publication in July 2003. Health Forum Journal has been replaced by H&HN Online, the weekly electronic edition of Hospitals & Health Networks. This edition will present bimonthly contributions from Dan Beckham, Joe Flower, Emily Friedman, Wendy Leebov, Ian Morrison, and David Weber. H&HN Online will continue the Journal's tradition of publishing volunteer contributions from health care leaders.
