The Citizens Research Council of Michigan is a not-for-profit public affairs research organization, that provides independent information on significant issues concerning state and local government organization and finance.

The Mackinac Center promotes "free-market" economic and government policies for Michigan. Although the center does not adopt the label "conservative," it is often decribed by others as ultra-conservative. The site offers many full text research reports on economic development, education, fical policy, labor, and the environment.
