Classification Codes in Business Scholarly & Trade (formerly ABI/INFORM)
Classification codes are a very broad way that articles are tagged in Business Scholarly & Trade (formerly ABI/INFORM). For instance, there are over 12,000 articles tagged with 4310 for Regulation in just the years 2009 & 2010.
It can be useful to do a search that combines a classification code (or codes) with keywords or subject terms.
Example:
compensation AND CC(43??)
This finds articles with the keyword compensation that are also tagged as related to 4300 Law (4310 Regulation or 4320 Legislation or 4330 Litigation)
(The ? marks are wildcards.)
To take a very broad sweep at finding legal issues related to HR, you can combine the overall classification code for Human Resource functions (6000 codes) with the overall classification code for law:
CC(43??) AND CC(6???)
