Scholarly articles are peer-reviewed materials published in academic journals. Databases hold records of the articles from the academic journals so that you can find them. Different databases have different journals included and thus they will all have different collections of articles. The best way to find scholarly articles is to search in academic databases. Use the tips on the "Tips for Searching for Sources" tab to navigate to different databases focused on scientific and scholarly content.
Databases contain collections of articles. Many databases contain only peer-reviewed articles, or allow you to filter to only view peer-reviewed articles. Though many articles will be listed in more than one database, each database contains a different group of articles.
