Zotero

Zotero is a tool to help you organize your sources and format your in-text and end-of-text references (bibliography).

*Tip: We recommend using a traditional laptop or desktop rather than a Chromebook or tablet for this. 

Citation Styles

This class uses American Psychological Association (APA) 7th edition. Make sure that this in one of your listed Zotero citation styles. 

To check for or add APA 7th edition: 

  1. From the Zotero app, click "Edit" --> "Preferences". (This is located in a slightly different place on a Mac). 
  2. From the top ribbon of the Preferences box, click "Cite". 
  3. If you do not see "American Psychological Association 7th edition" listed in the "Style Manager", click "Get additional styles..."
  4. Search for "American Psychological Association" and select the 7th edition. 
  5. Under "Citation Options", check the box that says "Include URLs of paper articles in references"
  6. Click "OK" to close the Preferences Box. 

Example in-text citation:

Example end-of-text citation (use a hanging indent):
