Database Accessibility

Ideally, database producers and journal publishers would follow standards for web accessibility. However, some studies have identified significant problems with the accessibility of library databases.  Common problems include:

  • Inaccessible PDFs and lack of HTML full text
  • Unreadable links
  • Too many links per page and lack of skip navigation.
