Interlibrary Loan (ILLIAD)
Using the Eastern Michigan University library's Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service you can:

Request that books and journal articles NOT owned by the library be sent to you at no cost.

Request that print books and articles that ARE OWNED by the library be sent to you at no cost.
There is a one-time registration to use this service.
To register:

Go to Illiad
- Login to ILLiad (Interlibrary Loan) with your EMU NetID (e.g., spsc22_xxxxxx - do not include the @emich.edu) and password. The fields are case-sensitive, so be sure to use lowercase letters in your login. NOTE: you will have to set-up DUO mobile, which is a two-factor authentication system used by EMU.
- Tips for completing the one-page form:
- On the line beginning: 'ID number,' put your EMU NetID (e.g., spsc22_xxxxxx).
- On the line beginning: 'my.Emich E-Mail Address,' use whatever email address you regularly use/check.
- On the lines beginning 'Mailing Address,' use whatever address you want us to send things to, either work or home.
- On the line beginning 'Status', select "Distance Ed Grad."
- On the line beginning 'Department', select "Other or Undecided."
- At the bottom of the page, click "Submit Information."
- On the left side of the screen (toward the top), click the phrase "Logoff [your Username]."
Accessing your library account
Use your library account to:
-
keep track of your searches in Esearch
-
save and organize articles in Esearch
-
see physical materials (e.g., books) that you have checked out, including due dates
-
renew materials
-
manage requests from storage or MelCat.
To login to your library account:

From the library's homepage (www.emich.edu/library), select My Account from the menu bar.

Select the EMU NetID login option.

Login using your NetID username (e.g., spsc22_xxxxxx - do not include the @emich.edu) and password. The fields are case-sensitive, so be sure to use lowercase letters in your login. NOTE: you will have to set-up DUO mobile, which is a two-factor authentication system used by EMU.

If successful, you should see your library account dashboard. If it is your first time logging in, you should change your password.
