This guide is designed to help the EMU community use Zotero to manage citations, organize research, and create bibliographies.

Zotero on Mobile Devices

You can use Zotero on mobile devices to view your library, save references, and annotate PDFs.

Below are your options for iOS and Android.

Zotero iOS App (iPhone & iPad)

EMU Library supports the official Zotero iOS app, which is free to download and easy to use.

  • Sync My Library and Group Libraries with the Web Library
  • View and organize your Zotero library

Zotero for Android Devices

EMU Library does not support third-party Android apps, but here are the options you should know about:
 

Official Zotero Android App (Beta)

Zotero has released a beta version of an official Android app. It’s still under development but offers core functionality.

  • Play Store: Download Zotero for Android (Beta) (opens in a new window)
  • Features:
    • Browse your Zotero library
    • Add and edit items
    • Attach files and notes
    • Sync with your Zotero account
       

Other Android Options (Third-Party Apps)

Some users try third-party apps to manage their Zotero libraries. EMU Library does not support these apps.

  • Zoo for Zotero: Basic access to your library with some annotation features.
  • ZotEZ²: Offers offline access and file-syncing options.
