What are Scholarly Databases?

Databases contain collections of articles. Many databases contain only peer-reviewed articles, or allow you to filter to only view peer-reviewed articles. Though many articles will be listed in more than one database, each database contains a different group of articles.

Contains citations for scholarly articles, books, research reports, and patents. It contains references from many disciplines including a large amount of scientific material.

Archive of back issues for many journals, some academic ebooks, and research reports.
Subjects: Covers most subjects
Info type: scholarly journals, professional periodicals, ebooks.
Access Tips: Usually the most recent 3-5 years are not available in JSTOR. However, EMU may have a current subscription. Check the Journal Titles search.

Does not include all known or predicted genes; instead focuses on genomes that have been completely sequenced, that have an active research community, or that are scheduled for intense sequence analysis. Content represents the result of curation and automated integration of data from NCBI's Reference Sequence project (RefSeq), from collaborating model organism databases, and from many other NCBI databases. Records are assigned unique, stable and tracked integers as identifiers.
