Ebooks

An introduction to ebooks at the EMU library.

Wiley Ebook Tips

  1. The Wiley ebook page will have links to PDF copies of the chapters. You can download or print chapters for personal use.
  2. Wiley ebooks don't have limits on simultaneous users, so you should never get a busy signal.
  3. If you want to save the ebook as a favorite in your browser, you can create a stable link using the DOI number (see DOI link generator below) or you can link to the E-search record for the book.
  4. If you have trouble logging in, the most common problems are:
    a. You may need to set your browser to accept cookies.
    b. If your EMU NetID password has expired, you may need to change your password.
    c. You may need to use your browser settings menu to clear cookies from your cache.
  5. You may be able to get immediate help using the ebook from Ask a Librarian chat.

Logging in to view the ebook

If you are on campus, you don't need to login to access a Wiley ebook. If if you are off campus,  you will be asked to log in with your EMU NetID.  If you aren't asked to log in, there may be an issue with the link you have to the book. In that case, try searching for the ebook in E-search (use ebook search provided below).

If you are asked to log in and your login doesn't work, you may need to update your NetID password (see Login Problems below).

To authenticate your browser needs to accept cookies. If you have trouble logging into the book, you may need to change browser settings to accept cookies.

DOI Link Generator

A DOI - digital object identifier - is a standard method of referring to online publications, often articles.  DOIs are persistent references that will always point to a particular resource, even if the publisher's web address has changed.

DOI Link Generator

Use this form to create a link from a DOI. The generated link will include the EMU proxy and allow off-campus access to library subscriptions.

Copy and paste the DOI (example: 10.1177/0042085910377290)

Copy and use the resulting link:
